It was a holiday weekend…

I spent my 4-day weekend clearing out things to go to the charity shop, dusting, putting my office/sewing room back in order now that Willow is 100% integrated in to the household (and thus doesn’t need a seperate litter box or place to be fed), putting together shelves for S’s “music room” (half of the living room) and helping him clean up his “art room” (half of the bedroom). Plus making pumpkin bread, making Thanksgravy dinner (sloppy Joes on fresh sourdough rolls I made the night before), tenting the plants for the first hard freeze of the season, and checking the attic for mice.

While I was clearing up the papers that had stacked up on my desk for the past 2 months, I came across a bit of holiday-related stitching that I’d been looking for, which compelled me to open up my binder full of patterns. In that binder, I found a wee little kit. Marked at 25 cents, it was from 1982, and I think it came from a stash that Arcadian72 had sent to me some time ago. It was too cute to resist, but of course, I can’t just do a cross-stitch of a teeny owl and leave it at that. I have to add my own touches…

Mr. Luna will be cutting a mat to give it that nice finish this week. Smilie: :)
